Explore the Langeberg
For those travelers looking to explore the road less traveled, in search of an authentic South African travel experience then look no further than the Langeberg district, which encompasses the towns of Robertson, Montagu, Bonnievale, Ashton and McGregor. The area has incredible natural beauty, enough to compete with any other wine region of the Cape but this is not what leaves the lasting impression. It is rather the people you meet along the way that make you want to return time and again.
You will meet families who have lived and farmed the area for generations, brave entrepreneurs who have left their corporate lives to follow their country dreams and passionate individuals who will welcome you with genuine small town hospitality.
I recently had the opportunity to be a tourist myself when I joined a group of other tour guides in exploring the area with Langeberg tourism and Hot Oven Marketing.
Here are a few photo highlights from the Robertson area (more to follow) and include some of the places we visited and the people we met.
