Dining choices on your wine tour

So what can you expect to eat on a Boutique Winery Tour? Well the answer is - whatever you like. There are so many options available; it all comes down to what suits you and your budget.

Wine and food pairings:

Not a meal exactly but ideal for those wanting to experiment with taste sensations or a have a bit of fun with some of the creative pairings out there. For example: cupcakes and wine, biltong and wine, chocolate and wine and even ice cream and wine. Weird, wacky or wonderful, you decide.

Cheese and Meat platters:

A quick, light and delicious lunch option. Many wineries offer platters in their tasting rooms which can accompany your wine tasting.

This is the perfect choice if you are touring with kids or want to make the most of our great summer weather. Available at several wineries between October and April.

Casual wineland eateries and deli’s:

Tourists are spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxed country dining in the winelands, from delicious simple food like pizzas, salads and burgers to more substantial and intricate à la carte menus.

Fine dining and tasting menus:

To all the foodies out there wanting to experience the Capes finest cuisine or anyone celebrating a special occasion, we’ll make some recommendations from the list of top Cape restaurants offering à la carte or multiple course tasting menu’s.

Vegetarian /gluten free options:

Most restaurants will have at least one or two vegetarian friendly choices and gluten free options are slowly becoming more available. Please let me know of any special dietary needs you may have and I will do my best to find a friendly restaurant to include on your tour.
